An Open Plea

To be open for signatures at the 9th Memorial gathering for the victims of Station Nightclub Fire

To:       Cowesett Holdings, LLC

            Triton Realty, Inc.

            Raymond Villanova

Person/persons/entities involved with the property located at 211 Cowesett Ave, West Warwick, RI previously known as the site of The Station Nightclub

As the 9th Anniversary of the Station Nightclub fire approaches, we beseech you to kindly provide us with an acknowledgement or a statement of what is to become of the aforementioned site.  We have become immobilized by a lack of communication from anyone with respect to the physical site itself.  I/we understand that these years have been tumultuous for all parties involved.

We respectfully request that a statement of what the future intentions are for this site or an acknowledgement of this letter be provided.  If the Station Fire Memorial Foundation does not meet some requirements you may have or if it will never be accepted as the organization that you would choose to donate/sell or transfer by legal means this property, please notify us.   It has been the ambition of not just this organization but of a multitude of people to create a memorial for the past nine years, that will honor those who perished, survivors, first responders, and all involved with this tragic event. We all need to know when or if this will come to fruition.  Thank you for your time and consideration of this request.

Very truly yours,

The Station Fire Memorial Foundation

SFMF Bike Run 2011

On Sept 3, 2011, the Station Fire Memorial Foundation held its annual ‘Ride to Remember’ motorcycle run.  It was a beautiful day and a wonderful time was had by all.

We had over 150 riders and hundreds of supporters.  We were entertained by some local bands: The Hype, RI Rocks and Little Blue Pill.  There were amazing raffle items, including a guitar signed by some of the hottest rock bands.  This guitar was won by Mark Gendron of Gendron’s Jewelers and he promptly donated it back to the SFMF.  It currently hangs at the Rock Junction to be raffled off at a later date.

The event raised over $7,500.  We would like to take a moment to acknowledge some very special people who made it happen with their generous donations and sponsorship.

The Rock Junction ~ Pig & I Roasting  ~ Cowesett Inn ~ 94 HJY ~ Craft Brew Supplies ~ Home Depot ~ Paragon ~ Wicked Deals ~ Studio 44 ~ Picasso’s Pizza & Pub ~ Gendron’s Jewelers ~ Dunkin Donuts ~ Charisma Hair Salon ~ Donna Gomes ~ Cricket Cottage Home Gifts ~ Fred and Friends

A special thank you to the Station Family Fund for their $2500 donation.
